Event Submission Form Module
Let visitors send in events. You approve every one.
A front-end form that sends events into DE Events for review. Nothing appears on the site until you approve it, and the sender hears back either way.
Live Demo
Send in an event
This is the full form, with every optional part switched on. Events sent from this demo wait for review and are never published.
Form Fields
Short form or full form
The title, the date and time, where it happens, and the organiser's name and email are always asked. Tick any of the other eight parts for each form:
- Description
- Image
- Category and type
- Repeats
- Online events
- Price and ticket link
- Organiser's phone and website
- Message for the site owner
The form on the right has all eight switched off.
Review
Nothing goes live without you
Every event sent in waits under Events → All Events → Pending. You approve it or decline it, and the sender is emailed either way.
Sent in
The sender gets a copy of what they sent. You get an email too, and replying to it reaches the sender.
Approved
Publish it from Pending and the sender is told it is live, with a link to the event.
Declined
Decline it with a reason, and the sender gets the reason by email.
Privacy tools
WordPress's export and erase tools include the events a person has sent in.
Who Can Submit
Anyone, members, or nobody
One setting under Divi Extended → Divi Events Extended → Submissions decides who sees the form.
Nobody
The default. The form draws nothing at all, so you can place and style it before it goes live.
Logged-in visitors only
Visitors who are not logged in see a link to log in instead of the form.
Anyone
Open to every visitor, with a hidden spam trap and a limit on how often one visitor can send.
Design Panel
Fully styleable
Fonts, colors, backgrounds and borders for the heading, intro, section titles, labels, fields, button and messages, all from the Divi design panel.
